Add new sounds to your Axe-Fx II with UltraRes User Cabs.

Cab Pack 18: ML Class-A 2x12 - UltraRes contains 100 User Cab IRs produced for Fractal Audio Systems by Mikko Logrén from ML Sound Lab. This collection includes separate IRs of both speakers of the combo to give you the full variety of its tones. This Pack also includes the Alloy IR Mix Collection, with intentional inter-microphone phasing to add the unique but pleasant character we expect when using multiple microphones on a real guitar cabinet.

This Cab Pack includes 12 Preset-Cab Bundle files that include a clean (Clean), edge of break-up (Grit) and a fully driven (Drive) sound for both split/single-coil (SC) and humbucker guitars (HB). Since the tremolo channel is often a big part of the iconic Class-A sound each preset also has a counterpart with an authentic tremolo effect (Trem). These Preset-Cab Bundles are great starting points for getting authentic Class-A sounds without the need to audition IRs.

User Cabs may be easily uploaded to your Axe-Fx II or AX8 using Fractal-Bot, Axe-Edit, or Cab-Lab. This pack also includes the high resolution .IR files required to create your own original multi-mic UltraRes™ mixes in Cab-Lab.

Please remember: It is illegal to share Cab Mixes containing these or any commercial IRs.

Cab Pack 18 features one combo: the ML Class-A 2x12, based on a 1964 Vox™ 2x12 AC30® Top Boost with original Alnico Blue speakers.

Microphones used include:

Shure™ SM57
Beyerdynamic™ M160
Royer™ R121
Sennheiser™ e906
Sennheiser™ MD421

Each microphone was used on both speakers of the combo. They were positioned in a variety of locations, listening and measuring to find "sweet spots". Different speakers are marked with letters A (left speaker) and B (right speaker). The numbers mentioned after the letters describe different variations of the mic position. The Alloy folder includes mixed IRs with real life phase that we are used to hearing when using multiple microphones on a real guitar cabinet. The Ace folders include our personal picks of the best material in this collection.

This Cab Pack was produced and engineered by Mikko Logrén.
