The Red Sound ELIS.8 PRO is a full-range, flat response (FRFR) powered speaker cabinet designed for live performance and studio work. It is ideal for use with the Fractal Audio Systems Axe-Fx III, FM9, FM3, and all of our previous amp modeling products — as well as 3rd party modeling systems, keyboards, and more.
In comparison to the ELIS.8 Active, the PRO has a single-channel amp with more power and “punch” and dynamics. It features Red Sound's proprietary RAW-P technology, designed for excellent response and clarity. The ELIS.8 PRO also includes two different types of "THRU" outputs: the LINK OUT passes the unmodified input signal, while the PRE-OUT has an independent gain control to adjust levels. The ELIS.8 Pro is designed for mono applications, but a pair can be combined for use in stereo.
The ELIS line features a custom Red Sound by SICA® exponential driver with a custom 8-inch woofer and coaxial high frequency driver. The benefits of this design become evident when compared to devices with a separate tweeter, which can have phase issues around the crossover frequency, which is particularly critical for FRFR guitar applications.
The elegantly designed cabinet is meticulously handcrafted from high quality materials including poplar plywood and an extremely durable exterior coating able to withstand the rigors of touring. It has a with convenient hand grip and is highly portable, packing a lot of power into a grab-and-go design.
