The EV-1 is an EXPRESSION PEDAL, perfect for use with all Fractal Audio Systems products and many 3rd party devices. Unlike most expression pedals it has a true linear response with planetary gearing and a long, smooth pedal throw. The EV-1 doubles as an analog volume pedal, with separate IN and OUT jacks connected to an audio-taper pot. It features a sturdy cast metal housing, comfortable non-slip rubber tread, and is available in either Silver or Black. It is larger than the EV-2

High quality build, feel

I hesitated between this and the smaller unit. I am VERY pleased with this larger model. The feel and grip are excellent. The device is heavy (in a good way). I'm guaranteed of no slippage, even on carpet or something a standard pedal would slide on. Integrating it into my FC-12/Axe FX-III set up was a breeze. It functions well for volume, wah, and adjusting effects. While there may be some cheaper options out there that perform the way in the software, I think the weight, build and quality are worth throwing down a bit more money.

This is my 3rd EV-1. All three connected to my FM9. Great pedals, work smooth and great surface area for your foot. Anti-slip surface is perfect so your foot stays where it should. Nice job Fractal!

The EV-1 is a super robust expression pedal. The action is very smooth and feels very sturdy under your foot. I love it!

Its way bigger than I remember it being. I think I should've gone with the other size, but regardless it functions perfectly. Feels good to use, wish I could make it a little tighter, but I just gotta adjust my weight on it. The larger size is probably awesome for me because of my giant/wide feet. I feel grounded when using it

Amazing pedal, heavy duty, made out of a heavy metal where it won't bust in minutes of playing. Worth every bit of money.
