The EV-1 is an EXPRESSION PEDAL, perfect for use with all Fractal Audio Systems products and many 3rd party devices. Unlike most expression pedals it has a true linear response with planetary gearing and a long, smooth pedal throw. The EV-1 doubles as an analog volume pedal, with separate IN and OUT jacks connected to an audio-taper pot. Amazing pedal, heavy duty, made out of a heavy metal where it won't bust in minutes of playing. Worth every bit of money.

Built like a tank, yet flawlessly smooth action! Nicely oversized so even if your foot doesn't find the sweet spot right away, you're still good! Can't recommend this enough... Perfect for a Fractal Audio rig, or if you want a flawless expression pedal for other rigs. It doesn't get better than this...

Easy setup with my FC-12 and Axe III. No configuration necessary! Just plug and play. I love the ability to adjust the pedal tension. Just for hoots, I tried it as an analog volume pedal and prefer it to the Ernie Ball that has populated my board for decades.

Fractal Audio Systems EV-1 Expression Pedal
It's vital that one follows the instructions either from the owner's manual, or Leon Todd's YouTube G66 or Fractal Audio videos regards EV-1 set-up with your FAS unit. Leon's G66 Wah Blocks Tips & Tricks made it so much easier to build and maintain scenes within presets, and the tips added some much needed richer, fuller tones from the wah settings. I gave this unit 4 stars because of the much steeper learning curve, but would happily bump that up to 4-½ for quality of tone and sound. Thanks to Leon and Fractal Customer Support for their timely and informative help.

This is a high quality, well design foot pedal. I'm an engineer and this piece very well constructed (cast pieces and a great smooth operating hinge). Works flawlessly. I would definitely recommend! It's the only pedal I use with my FM3 and fits right in my backpack.
