FM9 Turbo - Amp Modeler / Multi-FX / Floor Unit - B Stock

I am taking the Cooper Carter class because there is a lot to learn. This unit is incredible. The Marshall amps sound like Marshalls and every configurable setting was thought out by real working guitarists. The app is fantastic and makes building your own presets a breeze. I've tried several different amp modelers from the competitors, and they were good, but the Fractal is in a league of its own. I currently play in a trio and we do a variety of music. I no longer need an amp on stage. And....the effects and dyna cabs are word class, simply the best.

Just switched from Line 6 to the Fractal FM9 and the difference in audio quality was immediate and indisputable! At first I was very nervous about changing because of my familiarity with the Line 6 interface but I picked up navigating the FM9 interface within minutes! A truly incredible piece of gear. Thank you so much Fractal for making hands down the finest pedal board bar none!

I don’t usually do reviews, but this unit is amazing . This is by far has the best sounds I have ever heard out of a modeler. I have tried a lot and this is awesome. Very powerful and just a joy to use. Would highly recommend this to anyone that is serious about there sound and love to have the ability to not have to carry so much gear around when you only need this unit and your set.

Recently purchased the FM9 Turbo after using the Line 6 Helix family of modelers for the past seven years. Right out of the box, the FM9 presets are great and virtually gig ready. There is a bit of a learning curve (layouts, controller, modifiers, etc.) but it is well worth it given the amount of flexibility the FM9 offers. This is a robust, powerful piece of gear that doesn't disappoint. Glad I made the switch over to Fractal and have a refreshed level of inspiration with the sounds the FM9 can create.

I’ve been reading all reviews and I agree everything about Fractal’s guitar system (AXE-FX 3, FM9, & FM3). I didn’t see anything bad; just all positive. I’ve been playing guitar almost 37 years since the 80s when I was only 12. So I’m not new to music, but new to Fractal. I sold all my amps in the earlier 2000s and went 100% modelers: Boss GT8, GT10, GT100 and Roland GR-55. I just bought my FM9 a few weeks ago and I noticed, there’s a lot more stuff to do in Fractals’ system (Lol), but it’s pretty easy for me breaking into this modeler. After the 3rd day, I’m already very comfortable doing everything what I need: Creating Presets & Custom, FXs, Cabs, adjusting in everything in my head, copying my sound from my old Boss GTs to Marshall/plexi/Brits/Fenders/Mesa/Friedman, etc. The GOOD: There are nice good choices to make my amp sound as good as my real amp (and MORE): Amps, Cabs, EQs, Speakers, FXs, customized everything. The Effects are a nice bonus. They’re just as good as my recording system and I’m impressed. I’ve heard that these FXs are good, and now I know - it’s damn good (Lol). These fractal FXs makes my GT10 and GT100 very inferior. The BAD: There’s no ACOUSTIC presets/patches inside FM9. However, it only took me an hour to get a nice acoustic sound, but still; There’s no 12 string acoustic presets. I’m not sure if it’s possible without having a 13 pin connection/IRs like my GR-55, but I would love having a 12 string (hello Fractal…can you guys PLEASE do that???). If Fractal can’t do it, then I’ll have no choice but using my GR-55. I just hate using two pedals and two guitars (yuck!). There are 380+ presets inside. The “numbers” just look good on paper, but the truth is, most of them are just junk presets; unusable. To me, it’s better to having a nice 50 presets what we know and heard through 1950s – 2000s (current). If anything, I would prefer just having amps/sounds that we all know: Marshall (plexi, brits, blues), Mesa Boogie (IIc, IV, V, etc.), Fender (Deluxe, Twin, etc.), Friedman, VOX. The rest are just junk. They’re not certain models that we can really referenced. For example, Night Creatures, Clock Tower, How Soon as Soon?, Gnone Man’s Land, etc. This is just a joke. Lol. I can’t even referenced what it is. I was hoping if they were a “FENDER” or “VOX”, but nope. Most of the amps/FXs are very similar OR repeating. I would rather having more memory to use. Because there are too much junk unusable presets and having no ACOUSTIC (6 and 12 strings), I will rate as 4 Star. Don’t get me wrong, the sound itself is great, but most acoustic guitar player would love to have. For this reason, I remove ONE Star.

I have used a lot of amp/multi FX modelers (Helix, AmpliFire, Headrush, Quad Cortex, Fractal, etc.) and this is hands down the best tone I've ever had. IMO, it blows away the competitors. The amp tones react like real amps and the effects are top notch. I have an FM3 that I use as a back up, but the FM9 literally cured my GAS for amps and effects. Thank you Fractal for making such an amazing device. It'll take me years to actually use this thing to its' full potential.

Awesome, the thing sounds great. What am i supposed to do with all these amps ?
