Axe-Fx III MKII Preamp/FX Processor

I mostly play jazz music hoping for more presets for jazz musicians.

Ultra, AX2 mk1, now 3 I'm in, better than expected

An excellent product that meets any musicians' needs So many of the options are constantly improving. I hardly can keep up with the incredible range of functionality and further improvements being added. I can't say enough of how head and shoulders this product is above the rest except for one nagging problem. The User Interface on the footswitch FC-6, FC-12, is remarkable in some areas, and yet incredibly underdeveloped and poorly planned in others. It is just short of unusable for me because of the inability to easily access presets from the foot switch, which I feel is a basic function of a $699 foot controller paired to such a powerful effects processor. In the studio, only the Axe FX makes sense. In a live setting, I had to shutdown a purchase of 4 Axe units because the foot controllers were so unwieldy with presets. Hoping for a FC Mk2 at some point so I can stop buying Helix units.

I've been playing guitar since I was 12 and have had all sorts of gear (Gorilla, Silverface Deluxe, original POD, Marshall 50W, Helix). Decided to go big for my 50th birthday. Got my Axe FX III yesterday and all I can say is that I'm amazed. Sounds, interface, everything about it is top notch.

The volume of very musical, accurate, and satisfying to play, high quality amp/cab models + fx, combined with Fractal's dedication to continuously adding new features / improvements, makes this the best value guitar gear I've purchased since my journey began on the instrument.

The axe fx is a great tone machine. The quality is amazing and the build quality is fantastic. Definitely recommend.

I have been looking for a multi-effects that I am happy with for years. Going back to the GT6B and Zoom Bass in 2003... I bought this with the package deal and out of the box I was able to put together a sound I loved in 15 minutes. I am a bassist, so there are not as many factory presets, but what they have is a great start. Immediately conencted and started editing with my computer, and fell in love.

I have, since the mid 70's had both feet firmly cemented, up to the knees in the Analogue only world. my very first foray into the digital world was when I purchased the FX3 MK2 unit and the RJM Technologies GT-22 FC, not because I didn't like the Fractal FCs available but so I could control the Fractal and using its Midi Through I was able to also control the RJM Effects Gizmo Rack mounted Loop Switching unit with a tower of a rack with 8 drawers full of pedal options. The RJM FC and the Fractal work so well together, it is as if both companies worked hard two keep everything bug free. I loved the fact that right out of the box I plugged in the unit, let it finish initializing and using just the quick start manual and a set of headphones I was instantly able to fly through rigs and just had such a blast it was hard to tear it down to mount permanent in a rack build out the Loops and do the pairing and GT-22 programming etc. to make everything work together. I live by reviews and everyone expounded on how intuitive all the Fractal products are and what I had expected to be a brain twisting learning curve turned into making music within minutes of unboxing it! I don't have everything figured out yet but with all the Forum and Customer Service resources I don't foresee any brick walls. As it sits right now, I wouldn't sell it at a $500.00 !!

From the super good reviews, the videos, I thought it would be great to have an AX FX lll, I was far from it, the reviews and the videos give a good idea but seeing it and being able to play with it is just bluffing! For me it's the holy grail of tone! thank you FAS
